JoAnne Mayz

JoAnne's accounting, payroll and human resource career has spanned over three decades with small to medium-sized firms. Her primary focus is computer conversions in the internal bookkeeping and accounting areas. She has been involved in various private industries; electronics, manufacturing and wholesale, commercial construction and nonprofit.  

JoAnne introduced computers into the world of A-Bee Syndicate, a plastic furniture manufacturer and wholesaler. She brought the old ledgers and journals, production and inventory and bookkeeping into the 20th century. With Rokmin Concrete, her first experience with a unionized construction subcontractor, JoAnne negotiated contracts with the Laborer, Cement Mason and Steel Worker Unions.  Her first exposure to public accounting was with Clarence Rainess & Co CPA, one of the "Big Eight."

Originally from Jericho, New York, JoAnne relocated to South Florida with her husband, Jay and their two children, Justine and Joseph arriving the Monday before Hurricane Andrew. 

JoAnne's first job in South Florida was controller of the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, a client of Goldstein Lewin & Co. While there, JoAnne was on the Development & Implementation Team for the campus wide conversion onto Lawson Software. 

JoAnne came to Goldstein Lewin & Co in 1999. She is a member of American Payroll Society and Society for Human Resource Management.
