The SOX Report

What is the SOX Report?
SOX refers to the famous Sarbanes-Oxley Act signed into law in 2002. The Sarbanes-Oxley Act is the federal government's solution to accounting scandals involving businesses like Enron. It represents the most dramatic change to federal securities law since the 1930's. The Sarbanes-Oxley Act holds the board of directors of all publicly traded companies accountable for both receiving accurate information about the company's finances and reporting accurately on those finances to the public. This law also affects accounting firms and their auditing standards.

With so many provisions, corporate compliance with SOX can be a confusing process. We developed the SOX Report to help advise you on common situations your business may face with corporate compliance issues. We publish this report quarterly.
