The lobby of Goldstein Lewin & Co, a local accounting firm, was filled with 12 dozen red roses this Valentine's Day. In a fundraiser put together by the firm's “Make A Difference Committee”, employees of Goldstein Lewin & Co. raised money for the American Heart Association this Valentine's Day.

The firm offered employees the opportunity to purchase a single red rose in a bud vase on Valentine's Day with all proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association. Employees bought roses for friends, mothers, daughters, neighbors, co-workers and many purchased whole dozens for someone special in their life.

Director of Marketing and member of the Make a Difference Committee, Jennifer Tonisson originally suggested the idea:

“We never did anything like this before, so I wasn't sure how the idea would be received. Everyone loved it! We received such overwhelming support from the partners and all of the employees. We sold out before the end of the day. We had so much fun and really raised a lot of money for the American Heart Association. Next year, we will need to order more roses.”

Employees of Goldstein Lewin really showed how much they care about the American Heart Association this Valentine's Day. With 12 dozen red roses sold, the fundraiser was pronounced a success.

Director of Operations and Chairwoman of the Make a Difference Committee, Lisa Scarabino, commented:

“I bought a rose for each member of our administrative staff. We decided to make the Valentine Rose sale an annual fundraiser for the American Heart Association.”
