Goldstein Lewin Employees Raise $1074 for the American Heart Association
Clients and friends of Goldstein Lewin & Co were greeted by 34 dozen red roses throughout the office of this Boca Raton accounting firm on February 13th. The roses were part of a fundraiser benefitting the American Heart Association created by Jennifer Tonisson, Director of Marketing and member of the firm's “Make A Difference Committee.”
The firm offered employees the opportunity to purchase red roses in a vase on Valentine's Day with all proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association. Employees bought roses for friends, neighbors, co-workers and dozens for the special person in their life. Many of the partners bought a dozen for their spouse and a single rose for their assistants. Lisa Scarabino, chairwoman of the “Make A Difference Committee” and Director of Operations with the firm purchased a single rose for every member of the administrative staff. All in all there were 34 dozen roses sold at the 85 person firm.
Director of Marketing, Jennifer Tonisson originally suggested the idea:
“Our staff showed incredible support for the GLC Valentine Rose Sale. We raised $1074 for the American Heart Association and we had a lot of fun. I am working with the American Heart Association to promote the idea of doing this in other offices throughout South Florida.”
Each member of the Make a Difference Committee pitched in to cut, arrange and deliver the roses on February 13th. The staff members purchased singles, triples and dozens for Valentine’s Day. Many paid above and beyond the cost of the roses knowing that the proceeds would go directly to the American Heart Association.
